2023 yamaha sidewinder srx le eps
Watched thunder at video and hood was off in 1 minute my srx took about 30 minutes to get off. What is the deal. Not impressed with Yamaha. May apex came off in 15 seconds.

Two quarter turn latches on each side and two more just under the side panels and one electrical connector on the upper left side and pull the upper forward. Easy.

my new srx has 3 torx screws plus d ring on each side then one electrical connecter.. That is on my 2021 srx so maybe they added more torx screws now. lucky me I can do it alot faster now I I did not know they would be all the torx screws for hood removal.

Yes, what Motown said. Entire hood slides right off once you do the two d-rings and then the harness.

On past Viper models the electrical connection was in the middle and not exactly easy to get at. Yamaha/Cat moved it out where it is easily accessible on Winder models.

My old Viper was definitely more involved to take the hood off than the Winder but they may have improved it on the newer models (mine was a 17).

Glad you found it OP.
