hey guys
i installed a rear cooler on my rx1 mountain there recently and had my uncle bleed the coolant for me. i find the sled gettin slightly hot after a short ride. and put put so on the running board heat exchangers and it melts kind of fast. i think i'm gonna rebleed the system just to be on the safe side because i dont want a over heat to happen. i know that the rx1 mountain only has only air screw and thats on the rear of the sled on the rear heat exchanger. please tell me step by step how to bleed the coolant on rx-1 mountain sleds. also i just want to learn how to bleed coolant for my own purpose so i will now how to do it in the future. also, when i installed my rear heat exchanger the instructions told me to add addition coolant of the ratio 60/40. 60% coolant and 40% water. please let me know!
Thanks

Raise the front of the sled as high off the ground as you can reasonably get it like at least 18". Add the coolant then run the sled a bit maybe 30 seconds or so then add some more etc. Use the bleed screw once or twice but you don't really need it if you have the front high enough off the ground. You just want the air to be able to make it's way to the highest point which is going to be the rad fill bottle. After a ride when you warm the sled up enough to open the thermostat top up the fluid the air will work its way out. If you are over heating right off the bat you probably have an airlock at the water pump that you will have to get out by repeating this process.

so is it better to do it this way than to bleed the sled from the rear?say if i have the front of the sled 20 inches or 2 feet off the ground. will i need to take the bleed screw out on the rear cooler? alos, i want to do it rebleed my sled. theres alot of coolant in her now. would it be good to still do it this way or i'll have to drain some first? also, after just starting my rx1 i take off the res tank cover and i can hear bubbling and like air escaping. if that normal? let me know
thanks

I usually just bleed it on the trailer ramp , if the front end is high enough there is no need to open the back bleeder.
If there is air in the system it will burble out at this point if it is all bled properly and you have fluid in the coolant tank there should be no bubbling.
