I want to give the attak a little more track, thinking 151'' would this be too long for extencions? would i be better off going with new rails? also where is a good place to get the tunnel extension and rail extension/rails? Not looking to spend a bunch as the most this sled does is collect dust. I like my mtx so much better im thinking the attak now has to go longer ;)!

I like the parts from http://hartmaninc.com/ he makes good strong parts. I think going to 151". Should be fine maybe add some support for the rails. But you also could move the skid back 4" and make it a 144" with a great attack angle.

it depends what you want to do, I drove my RX1 mtn on the trail and trying to keep up to short tracks was a challenge, I'm stretching my Attak to a 144" however I want to get tipped rails to help with trail riding, if you mostly drive in the deep stuff then go with the 151", you'll love it

the trails are ungroomed here most of the time and 80% of the riding i do im making my own path so a short track is useless for me. I love my 162'' apex for the way i ride but i was more wondering about strenth of the rails with that long of a extension compared to going 151'' rails i have never extended a sled before.

I have hartman's kit comming... 151" tunnel extention with a 144 track length.... the tunnel extention is 20 3/4" long, 144" is 15 3/4" long and stock apex is 9 3/4" long... I have a 144 track already, but wanted a wee bit more room for fuel caddy/rack on back... I'm in the middle of these mods now, just waiting for kit to arive. this is all going on my 40th... but i still have work to do to my rails... i have some tweaks in them i don't like and found some small cracks that are going to get welded up.

Thats awesome sherlock29 you should add a pic of that extension when you get it installed. I too would like more room to carry fuel sounds like hartman is the way to go.
thanks

I talked to Tom Hartman for sometime, and i didn't want one of his off the shelf kits, so i peiced one together.... for my wants and needs... yes i will be posting pics and everyhting once i get going... my sled is currently apart.... very apart... took my front rad out on the weekend(stud thru it) so once i drilled the 26 rivets to get it out, fighting and cursing its time to get things back together.... I'll probably start a thread of my build...
