I just purchased a ripsaw 128" track from trackusa along with rail extentions. My dealer wants 200 bucks plus my ripsaw track which is brand new to do the exchange. I figure my track is worth at least 300 which means he's getting 500 bucks for the job. At 55 dollars per hour that comes out to about nine hours to do the job this seems crazy to me. How long can it take and how hard is it to do it. I have to make a decision soon. I have a trip to canada coming up in a couple of weeks.

$75 and 2 hours tops at our shop for labor. Let me know what you think of the extensions and the track, thinking about doing that to a sled!

Srxspec. I don't understand what your saying. You say it takes two hours. how much is the track worth. Are you saying that it would cost me 75 dollars plus my track. I really appreciate your help.

128" x 15" Ripsaw is $425

121" Ripsaw is $325 (assuming 0 miles)

So $425-$325 you should owe him $100 just for the difference in prices of the track if he bought the track for you. For labor it should take about 2 hours and we charge $75 for a track swap. If you purchased the track yourself you shouldn't have to pay him more than about 2 hours worth of labor and be able to keep your original track as well.
