How many people are keeping their 06 Attaks or Apexes?

I'm definitely keeping my 07 RTX ER. Once the minor first few ride issues were resolved (track ratcheting, hyfax wear through at the curve, torsion springs), the sled has been 100% reliable and an absolute blast to ride.

With several mods complete (Skidoo anti-ratchet drivers, 144 studs+track, rearched torsion springs, 13mm sway bar, Yenture lite rear view mirrors, tall windshield, Skidoo visor plug, 04 RX-1 idler wheels, extra idler wheels, 4th wheel kit, anti-bottomers, updated chaincase cover or 05 chaincase assembly) and a couple of mods to come (revalved shocks, custom auxiliary fuel tank in nose) I'm convinced this sled will not only be the most durable sled you can put together, but the best overall sled for performance, ride, touring, aggressive riding, etc.

I'm looking forward to many more trouble free miles.

The FX Nytro has definitely got my interest though. After a few years to get any bugs out and hopefully a larger tank, I could see myself dropping down the hp a little and getting on one of those. With the longer travel suspension, lighter weight, and lower revving engine it looks like an exceptional package.

I'll be keeping my 06 Apex til the warranty expires. I'll see how it is holding up. Yamaha needs to work on the fuel efficency and other common problems. If yammie does not improve that Doo 800 is one lightweight. If Doo gets the fuel mileage dialed in with dependability, Yamaha better watch out

Keeping mine for sure, and probabally for many more years, which means a dman long time, which im sure the sled will last through.

Mods im thinking about is whiteknuckle exhaust, powercommander, ram air mod, blue windsheild and either the stiffest spring available for the mono or using th bearing spreader and shock compressor combo to move the c-clip, which ever can make the rear end not bottom. I find all sleds are too soft in the rear.

Just throwing this out here..... All this talk of weight with the yams, all these guys going on about lighter, etc... All these are is bragging rights, I never had a problem with weight with my Attak. A sled stuck is a sled stuck, and it will always feel heavy. If your steering is hard, adjust skis, suspension settings etc. to get it right. For the trail agressive rider and occaisonal back country, there shudnt be a problem with weight.

Im keeping mine .. I see no reason to change.. I pimped mine last season.. Batman theme.. lol...

I'm definately keeping my 06 Apex GT, and I'm sure my son will keep his 07 Apex RTX.
There's room in the garage for some newer sleds: I'd like to pick up the 08' FX Nytro, but I'm waiting to see what Yamaha has for 09 and beyond. Rumors of a new sled to replace the Apex...
Again, like every other year: wait and see!!!!

keeping mine...I'll force myself to find some snow and time to ride...and theres nothing better for the money invested...period

I am keeping my 2006 RTX till the extended warranty expires. I did buy an Arctic Cat M6 141" for off trail riding because my Apex got stuck a lot last year. It is still a great boondocking sled and definitely awesome for rough trails.

I think I'd like to drop my attak off and let you do your frankensled routine...uh after I hit the lottery !
