I,m due to trade-in my '05 RX1-ER but man do I have a hard time, between the new "DOO" MXZ "X" 800R 2008 WOW! they realy did their home work or the new NYTRO FX...
The thing about YAMIE is they can't seem to able to handle the weight of the BIG boy's over 200 lbs and have no heavy springs as optional add on's but "DOO" have and have done a good job re designing their '08 ????
So will the new NYTRO FX be able to handle us BIG BOYS???
Don't get me wrong YAMIE have a GREAT sled but!!!

From what I take it as,The Nytro is by FAR the best bump sled made by Yamaha. I cant wait to ride a XP or ride with one,I know that the Nytro will be right with it in the bumps.

I am trading in the 06 apex rtx for the nytro rtx. After riding it the only two things im going to miss about the apex
1- The engine breaking
2- The sweet sound of the 4 banger exhaust

3 ordered from our household. All former apex riders.
Going from an 07 apex RTX to the Nytro RTX. It looks like it's made for the ditches and thats what I like!

I will definetly have to find a way to have both parked in the garage. Maybe I'll tell the wife I'm storing the Nytro for a friend .......yeah that's it.

I am not on a Apex/Attak yet, but only a month ago, I was seriously planning on switching to an Attak from another manufacturer. But after riding the FX Nytro and considering the time I spend in the ditches, it's going to be a Fx Nytro all the way. More "bump friendly" and the power, torque and throttle response was VERY impressive!

If I was you I wouldn't be worried about the Nytro suspension not being able to handle the "Big Boy"...what I would worry about is the running boards on the REV XP chassis folding over like wet cardboard when your 200+ pound frame stands on it.
This is pure speculation but my guess is that the Nytro suspension will be very comparable to the Apex RTX if not stiffer. Once there is some actual seat time on the Nytro I would be willing to bet more guys will be complaining because it's too stiff (2002 SX Viper ring a bell here?). Check out the disclaimers at the bottom of Yamaha's ads..."New FX Nytro RTX is designed for aggresive terrain"...In other words, If you're gonna buy this sled don't piss and moan about it being too stiff like everyone did when they bought the Viper.
That's the best part about Yamaha's current lineup, If you want a trail cruiser at 80, 120, 130 or 150 HP you can get one. If you want to pound the crap out of a rough trail all day at 80-150 HP they got a sled for that too. The problem usually isn't the sled, it's the consumer who buys the wrong sled.
The REV-XP looks like a nice sled but it's short two strokes for my taste. I wonder what the excuse will be next year when the 130 FI pulls past that 800R motor from 0-90 MPH???
Sorry to go off topic...The Attak is staying in the garage but I would like to add the Nytro next to it about this time next year if there is any left.
