how many people switching from apex to nytro

I'm Swithching

I'm switching from an Attack GT to the FX Nytro. The Nytro has similar top speed but has much more torque. Not to mention, it handles the big bumps better than anything I've ever ridden! Its by far the funnest sled ever built.

Wait till next Dec when there's no snow on the ground and take your pick of any nytro model for about $8500, in Jan should be about $7900

I will definetly have to find a way to have both parked in the garage. Maybe I'll tell the wife I'm storing the Nytro for a friend .......yeah that's it.

Could I park mine in your garage also, you know, so the wife wont find mine! ;)!

I may have to see if my wife can adjust to my GT for the few times she'll ride, I gotta have an RTX!

I’m not convinced the 28 liter fuel tank will be good for me. There is no way that I want to be the first one looking for fuel in a big group. I’ll wait and see what happens I guess. I also like what doo did this year and like the sdi 600X to just jump around with and keep my Apex as well. I know the doo 600 has a good range with the 40 liter fuel tank. I’ll wait and see them all on April 4th and decide from there. There is also the turbo option for my Apex, but hard to believe I can go pick up another new sled for the same price after everything is said and done. what to do?,what to do?….

I am torn, I have a apex rtx, ride groomed trails but also ride weekends [skulled out trails] love to play in ditches, jump and goof around in the pack but first and foremost am a mile chaser. The apex rtx is awsome but this nyto rtx ..................I am infatuated with it. 7 gal fuel capacity scares me though. As of right now I am on the bubble..........

Keeping my Apex, and getting the 40th Nytro RTX. My wife said as long as I can buy it outright, I can get it. It'll be nice to have the best of both worlds.

Well blue maybe you got a good 07 rtx,but most of us big guys who ride real agressive find the bottom of the skid alot, even when i run my compression up 20 clicks of hard and spring block up on high,i run the sled hard thru the bumps i can bottom it out easy, but it rides very harsh, and there is no more adjustments left,i think yamaha left alot on the table with this new bump sled, even my dealer told me that something is very wrong with this suspension, valving, springs, the way the bell crank works, wheels to far foward, wheels on shaft to hard to replace, wheels still losing rubber, hyfax still peeling off, sled only transfers when sled is set up super soft, but at that set up i cant drive it like that,i have talked to russ at lengthy talks about this sled and they are besides them selfs trying to figure it out, like he saids it feels to soft in the big bumps and can be to stiff on the little stutters, all my mono shock yammis ride way better than this ck 07,i will work on the shock package, and set up,with differant studs and things next year, but so far the 1400 miles i have on it,i am not real impressed, and i drive very very agressive, but at 260 lbs it is difficult to get sleds set up for my weight and style.

Sucks to hear that, man. If you drink the koolaid (and for some reason I have been with this sled), then they finally got it right with the rear suspension on this. We won't know until it gets to people, but the speedos are dead on, it's dynoing well, and almost every report I have seen (there can't be that many paid yama-schills out there) is that this handles bumps better than the 1st series Rev. Pretty damned impressive.
