There were several of us riding in north Idaho yesterday in snow conditons so deep it was incredible.

I was on my RX-1M with a 162 camo Extreme and it did just fine but, one of my buddies got stuck on his Apex Mnt and wanted me to ride it out for him. I was happy to help and this thing rocketed out of the hole. First off I was impressed by how much snappier the throttle repsonse was than my RX-1 and secondly (even more noticable) was how easy it was to carve with in the deep powder. I felt like a much better rider than my rider forward RX-1M.

One of my other buddies who rides a RX-1M Turbo (Jonnyrocket) also rode the Apex and from his comments, I think he felt the same way I did about the Apex.

So I thought, if the Apex is this much easier to ride well in the deep stuff than an RX-1. I have to wonder if and how much easier a Nytro MTX is to ride in the deep stuff than an Apex mountain?

Can you really feel the 50 lb. weight difference between the two sleds? Does the angle of the handlebar post effect deep powder handling on the Nytro? Can you feel a power difference between the two sleds? How does standing and riding compare between the two? The Apex made my RX-1 feel dated. Does the Nytro do the same to the Apex?

Ok, that's enough questions. You get the idea. So, how do they compare?

Thanks Guys

Yes, I do feel the same way. The Apex is so much snappier than the RX and much easier to maneuver. Can't wait to see what some have to say about the difference between the Apex and Nytro.

J, can you imagine an Apex Moutain with a Camo Extreme???

The Mavericks just didn't seem to get around as well as the extremes did yesterday.

I had a 2006 ApexMtn and now the MTX and the Nytro is much easier to throw around than the Apex!

I have way more fun with the Nytro and just love the sled! Perfect fit for me!

But... for climbing I think the Apex is better mainly because of the 16X162!

And Yes you can feel the 50 pounds difference because I would say that 35 of them are in the front
of the sled!

I have only 3 complaints about the Nytro :

Snow Ingestion
Small tank
Maverick Track

... and wet left foot! :o|

The Nytro is about the easiest handling mountain sled I've ever ridden, even cmpared to the 2-strokes.

I have little seat time on an Apex, but what seat time I have had was not as pleasant as the Nytro. When it comes to the RX there is NO comparison to the Nytro. The RX jsut won't do what the Nytro will, and when you do make the RX carve it makes you tire quickly. With the Nytro I carve 10 times more during the course of a day and am not even half as tired. The only way to make a sled carve easier would be to have elctrodes on your head that read your mind and carved when you thought about carving.

i find the nytro easier to carve than my rev i had,and the motor is better as well...better fuel mileage..

Thanks guys

Heck, I keep getting a wet left foot on my RX-1 and can't figure it out. I had RU Outside boots and they warrantied the boots and sent me a new pair and my left foot is still wet. Go figure.

Keep the riding impressions coming.

Hey there frost bite get rid of the RU outside boots mine suck too. Both my feet get soaked in them. They warrantied mine too still the same they are not waterproof other than that they are nice.

On the status of the NYTRO to the Apex. My buddy has an apex and I did not like it I got back on my Vector last year. My vector I thought was the easiest sled to carve etc... but My new nytro handles relatively close and today I could feel the the ease of the Nytro when I got back on the vector to show my GF how to carve.

I am going to be really happy with the nytro.
The only complaint I have is the small fuel tank.
And the suspension is soft
