The sled has just under 8000 miles on it. My questions is how much is too much? How deep can they be? One would measure the depths with a straightedge laid on the sheave right? I do not have access to a lathe to sand & polish the grooves out. Thanks in advance for your comments! jd0270 Pro Joined Nov 1, 2009 Messages 134 Reaction score 0 Points 166 Location Sk canada Nov 27, 2010 #2 if its still working alright I wouldn't worry a whole lot as long as the bushings and such are good shape. If the thing is grooved too deeply, then the sheave may be weakened. It is very bad if it explodes. You must log in or register to reply here. Similar threads How to replace sheaves?
