For this used a axle I found on the trail in Manitoba. It was a Ski-Doo axle but any brand will work except the Yamaha one I had from my Warrior pro action. It was hollow and got larger in the middle so you could not tap it for threads.

I just narrowed the axle equally on both ends so as to keep the wheels in the right position between the track lugs. Machinist buddy of mine cut them down. Chop saw or band saw would work if you where very careful not to overcut and at the same time cut the ends square.

Once cut I drilled and tapped the holes deeper. Machinist could do that for you as well. I think I'm using 12mm bolts about three inches long. I then drilled the 136 ZX2 adaptor front mount holes out to the Larger size.

I used the 7 inch Yami wheels from pro-action skid and they worked out perfect. The picture shows where the axle mounts and the Yami wheels.

I know that most do not have wear on the ZX2 but some of us heavy weights wear the slids right to the ZX2 skid. In my case in 900 miles while everywhere else the slides where good. This solved my problem!

Thanks for posting, I have been looking for a way to add some wheels to that area. My slides wear really bad between those wheels and I only got a 136". I cant imagine now bad the 144" wear.
