Mine was out of spec as well. Only have 2550km on it, so roughly 1200 miles and it took about 6 tries to get aligned. Video was a great help!

Not sure I understand. I just followed the video (which was a great help), cycling via the grip adjuster then key on to check the notch. Is there more to it than that?
BTW, at about 3800 kms or 2400 miles mine was still within the notch but ever so slightly to the right. How critical is it to be dead nuts in the centre?

and i forgot to mention, i replaced the xup cables on the 2011 last season and this year it was still in spec and it had 3500km at least since i installed them.
