Recently rolled my phazer mtx on a hill and now that I am trying to clean up the oil I was wondering if there was any specific way to clean out the breather box.

Wow I guess I should pay attention to this cause im new to four strokes. Ive gottin two strokes stuck on the side of hills and you just roll them down the hill to get unstuck. Upright it on some fresh snow - jump on and go all with engine still running. Better not try this with four stroke!

If you get in a habbit of rolling your sled I would look into getting a roll over valve.

Huh never heard of it but something to look into. Don't think I will be doing this with the four stroke. Try to keep the shiny side up but when your stuck, it is an option.

So Yamahas, since im new at these four strokers, can the same thing happen if I carve too hard and lay it on its side? Starting to sound like I need one of these.

If you lay it on its side it could leak. The roll over valve is a teather system. When the teather gets pulled the engine stops and a valve closes the oil tank breather hose stopping oil from leaking.

OFT roll over valve is a must on these sleds. If they're running and upside down for even a short period of time, just open your wallet and hand it to someone with a motor for sale. They'll grenade on you shortly. If you lay it on its side it could leak. The roll over valve is a teather system. So who makes these? Is it OEM or aftermarket? Would this be a reason to carry xtra oil or does it not leak that much?

These are all aftermarket except the the later introduced Yamaha line which is an accessory. Check out the sponsors on this site. Search works well here. Many threads on this and very, very informative. If you even think you need to carry extra oil buy an ROV. Cheap insurance. IMHO
