looking to find out where the fuel pressure reading is. Someone told me it may have to do with my horrible fuel mileage? 80 miles on groomed trails with lots of WOT and ran out of gas!! Any help or other ideas why fuel mileage is so bad is appreciated

Push both bottom buttons together to enter the diagnostic mode. Then push left down button one time you will see DIAG. Push right bottom buttons once to select. Once you enter the diagnostic menu push the left down button 6 times till you see fuel and it will show an ohms reading. My sled saw poor mpg last season as well. I have no idea what the ohms reading should be. It seems like it is variable. Mine shows 2 right now with power on the gauge but sled off. I believe back in March it was around 40 ohms.

Does the gauge automatically reset back to standard speed, rpm, engine temp etc. After a few minutes ? Or is there a sequence of buttons to push ?

Post what your sled shows for ohms mine was 2 ohms with sled off or while running at idle.

Found an old post from last year asking the same. I had 26-28ohms after dealer changed out my pressure regulator( whole fuel rail change out was easier for them). The guy who asked me to check on that post claimed his was at 50 ohms.
At idle. Your dealer should know that answer I would guess?

Yeah that was my sled that had 50 last year, back in March. Now shows 2. I have no clue what exactly it's measuring or how it is doing it. But I'm wondering if the amount of gas in the tank/head pressure could have an effect on the ohms reading and of course temperature will. If anyone has any info on how this ohms reading is obtained and what it actually means please chime in.

Checked mine it was at 2 ohms, idling this afternoon? Guess I'll have to keep an eye on it during the season

So is the ohms reading coming from a pressure transducer in the fuel rail or what?
Is there a chart that shows what the ohms reading is in PSI?

My sled is a Arctic-Cat and I am taking it in for the clutch recall tomorrow, while there I am going to inquire about checking the fuel pressure and or regulator.

I am hoping someone with this kind of information can chime in. Also what the correct operating range is for the psi to be at so one could tell if theirs is out of whack.

Here is what mine reads at idle also same with engine off. Last winter I was getting 9.5 miles to the gallon.

Wow a huge difference from the 2 ohms mine shows. When I started my sled I know it had a different reading then I believe it was 16 ohms. I was about 10-11 miles per gallon last winter. I'd really like to get the 13-14 mpg I had seen with my apex and nytro.

Looked into this since last year. Nowhere I or the techs can find reference to the gauge reading. Theoretically resistance (ohms) should go up with pressure. According to service manual you check pressure with a gauge and the process I have pictured below. 46.9 max and is Vacuum regulated to less than 4psi. I cannot find anything in manual or asking about the gauge. Maybe it just varies from sled to sled to much to be useful or something. Or not enough data compiled. Would think that per machine the values would be accurate and repeatable but the gauge and wiring to it are Cat so? But for now use this method:
