Well, I was having a bad day to begin with so I should have known not to mess with the Apex tonight.
I was working on my buddies skidoo sdi that has stator issues, and of course had a few pints to help with the trouble shooting.
After getting pretty frustrated with the crappy Doo, I figured we needed a break so I thought we could quickly pull the skid out of my Apex so I could get the W(Pivot) arm fixed. Well in my haste after the DOO frustration I quicjly unbolted the skid and dropped it. Proceed to yank it out from the track when I remembered that I did not unbolt the remote suspension adjuster. Soooo... of course I pulled the cable right out of the connector at the shock..........PITA
How difficult is it to fix the cable? Is it just a matter of putting it back in and recrimping it? Its the RTX version not the electronic Olins GT version
Thanks in advance

RA cable

Royal Distributing has new cables at reasonable prices. I have never had any luck trying to repair the cable. It may work fine for a short time, but the real cure is a new one.

r/a cable

there is an updated cable available from yamaha, around $52. They do not use the rubber boot at the shock end anymore. Only rubber boot on end at adjuster knob.
Remeber direction of cable turning at shoch when reinstalling is opposite to the direction you turn the knob

Mine is broke and im not waisting any money on that, you cant adjust if its not thawed,it will break again, adjust it to your riding style and leave it.
Just my 2 cents.

Then throw all that crap in the scrap pile so there is less for ice to build up on under there, and bolt a patch over the hole inside the tunnel.

Are you sure your cable wasn't already apart ?

Apparently the new mono suspensions don't use the adjuster. Anyone know if the new adjuster on the shock can be put on our older mono shocks ?
