Last weekend I stopped in North Bay for a test and tune session at the plowed radar track.
I have 144 studs down the center.
How can I get this thing to hook up?
I was down about 4 mph compared to hardpack in 2000 ft!
Before I went on the trip...I raised the straps in the front suspension....so the sled does not transfer as well as it used to. I guess I will put it back!
I measured the start to finish line with my odometer.....ir looks like 2000 ft is 0.4 on the odometer.

I just jump up and down on the back of the treads until I hit a rough spot
Pulling up the limiter will reduce traction and increase ski pressure. I had my limiter 4 threads from the end and hooked up scary on hard pack, but on ice you have to ease into it as aggresssively as you can.
I pulled mine up to about 11 threads and could definately feel more track spin and more ski resistance. Pinch the end of the bolt with thumb and finger and count the thread impressions. I backed off to 7 and will try the transfer rods a bit. I don't like too much transfer for corners. I just finished that project 5 minutes ago.
And how come there isn't a smiley face with bloody knuckles ???

- Which one? I have 6
TAKE SOME STUDS OUT AND PUT SOME CHISELS IN. INCREASE YOUR WEIGHT TRANSFER. HOLD ON.
if you running 1000 ft or less run 144 ice pick's if longer go with 96 ice pick's.Roll out about 10 ft and mash on it.If you put ice pick's in tighten your limiter straps to reduce friction for more mph.If your going to fully set it up for speed run's then pm I will help you out.
I have an 05, with 144 trail studs, including one on every other outside belt. I've been avoiding the outside belt on my last couple of sleds to avoid potential tearouts, but threw caution to the wind with this RX1. I was on the lake Saturday at a plowed radar strip. I even reduced my transfer for better cornering. The thing still will lift the skis on glare ice. The 05 has very impressive hookup. If you have an 03-04, and really want hookup, get a low profile track and chisels.....oh yeah....hold on tight...
