how to replace lower control arm bushings and washers?

going to replace these tonight... any advise as to doing the lower control arm bushings? gather let all air out of the shock + raise front end off ground + start backing out the bolt? do i have to back out the shock as well? this all may sound basic to some though would appreciate any trick or info before i get going on it . THx

You don't have to remove the shock. Very easy to change. Back the bolt out and remove the old bushings. If they are worn bad the may have to use a screw driver to remove them.
I would recommend Ulmers bushing kit and do them all. It really tightened up my Attak.
 
Put grease nipples in the ski post housing where the bushings r and u will never have to replace them again

Those 2 grease fitting do the outer A-arms, the bolts go right thru there. Just have 2 do the inners.
