Guys, I live in WI. We just got about a foot of snow. Last weekend I was up in the UP with my 2007 Yamaha Apex RTX and I dropped my key somehow at the resort.
Luckilly when i called up, the guy went out there and found the key and said he was going to mail it to me. This was a week from today. It's only a 250 mile distance between there and where I live, but the USPS still hasn't delivered my key. Now when we just get dumped on with a foot of more snow, i want to ride this weekend as you never know what'll happen next week.
So, any idea what the best way to get my sled started without a key? I do have the title and paperwork so if someone would PM me, I'll email you a scanned title and registration as I know most people don't want others to know how to steal a sled.
I really appreciate any help.

Can you go to A dealer with your paperwork and get another key?

If you have the code that's on the key, you could have your dealer check his inventory of keys to see if he has it. I had a 06 Vector and bought a 06 Attak. Same code, same key! Its probably rare but you could try!!!

Could always buy a new key switch if there is one in stock, or if your dealer will take on off a new sled and reorder one. There $50 bucks with the key...but you get to ride. Or take your key switch to the dealer and see if they have the key.

Sounds like a crappy dealer to me. Where are you located? The TY site asks that you at least put up your location on your profile.

Call a local locksmith. Take the ign switch out and take it in to them. They should have a key made for you in about 10 mins. And I know this is true cuz I am a Locksmith, too.
