I am not sure what they are using but they should probably be printing them out of something like PA6-GF filament (Nylon 6 w/glass fiber). It has a max temp range of at least 375° F.Crap Gotta dig into mine and recheck after my last trip. Wonder if there is a more heat resistant material he could print them out of?

Probably won't though due to cost. I think current material they're using is just cheap ABS at $2/kg.
PA6-GF costs $50-60/kg.

I might be ABS but they would need an enclosed 3D printer then. ABS off gasses when printing and needs a vented enclosure. Might even be the cheaper PLA or PETG.Probably won't though due to cost. I think current material they're using is just cheap ABS at $2/kg.
PA6-GF costs $50-60/kg.

These sleds your finding these on do they have any additional venting up front? I have two vents up front in addition to knee vents which may help keep temps down.Probably won't though due to cost. I think current material they're using is just cheap ABS at $2/kg.

These should be made with better material obviously. I would be removing if I had one installed. Hopefully Hurricane upgrades these. Can't get Dave to call me back so IDK. Disappointing.

Actually, this last one has ALLOT of extra venting facing forward. These sleds your finding these on do they have any additional venting up front? I have two vents up front in addition to knee vents which may help keep temps down.
- 4 large holes in front lower bulkhead behind intercooler
- Both side panels have both Frogzskin and the Speedwerx vents
- panel right in front of fuse block has 4 large holes with Frogzskin
- rear of both side panels have large rectangular vents
- both side panels have multiple round Frogzskin openings where there's room.
IMO, whatever material these are made of cannot take the underhood heat. Need much better material such as what Twyztid posted just above.
I've called Dave and emailed him over a month ago. I sent him many pictures of the failures. Still waiting for him to call me. I bet he knows there's a problem but doesn't have a plan on how to deal with it.

I wonder if this is going to go the way of the stub shaft knockout kit. Very popular at first, but in the end it didn't work long-term as intended.Actually, this last one has ALLOT of extra venting facing forward.
