I would not waste my time on any slide other than the Yamaha Dupont slides. You can always install the slides when the skid is in the chassis. They fit through the track window.

Spend your money on Excel wheels IMHO

X2 Put your skid in worry about the hyfax later when you get them. Spray some WD40 on the rails and push the hyfax through the track windows.

Are the Dupont sliders that sweet? I just bought them yesterday along with the extra wheel kit, I only got 600 miles out of the stock ones last year. 2013 Nytro XTX.dubla92 said:I would not waste my time on any slide other than the Yamaha Dupont slides. I put 2000 miles on a set of Dupont 'slides last winter, and I think they would have run one more season, or most of one.

With oversized wheels and the duponts you should be good to go. I just have the oversized wheels and I can run a full season (about 3000 miles) with the stock wideslides. Cant bring myself to buy $130 of slides when the stockers run a full season and they are $40 haha

X2.....stock Yamaha slides and excel wheels, usually get 3000-5000kms no problem depending on winter conditions but, change them every summer anyways as part of maintenance (cheap insurance).
for install I like using dish soap, they slide on very easy and don't dry out the metal like wd-40 does.

Would you explain how wd40 "dries" the metal out. Not sure I follow. I use wd40 all the time for installing slides and am unsure what you mean.

I do not put any slider on but the Dupont ones now. When I have customers upset at how quick the stock sliders wear I sell and install the Dupont ones. I can get the Dupont slides from the local dealers and do not have to order wheels from the USA. Quicker by far and I can put on 2 sets of Duponts for the price of the Excell wheel kits. Customers are all VERY happy with these new sliders.
