I had my hyfax wear all the way through right in front of the front wheels. Was I running the track to loose and this caused it to wear here? The rest of the hyfax is ok, closing in on the wear line but not through. I had the track pretty loose it would ratched under heavy acceleration...

Next question is I worn right through the hyfax and worn down the rails a bit... Is it ok to put a new set on and keep riding? Or do I need to replace the rails????

put new on it and ride it

will be just fine. how many miles on hyfax? mine wore out same place at 3800 miles.

1500 miles thats it... Kinda of ticks me off as I thought they were fine till I droped the skid to do the Y pipe replacement... They worn down a good amount of the rails still have a little of the edge that holds the hyfax left but looks like I will be buying new rails shortly...

dumb question.

do you have snow scratchers on your sled..as far as the rails...just rub them with sand paper ,,to make sure there is no sharp edges..to cut the slides..the problem you might have now..unless you change the rails..is when you turn.. the track pushes on the side of the rail.then travels down the slide..so watch for this..could cut through..I think the real problem is...that the rails turn up too fast..so when you hit the bumbs, they really hit hard there..and when you get new rails(like iceage..less turn up),get powder coat..the ice and snow stay off more...and we all know we could lose some weight on these things..
