Hyfaxes, 2up Canadian

I have about 280 miles on my Mtn Lite, generally on fresh snow on soft trails and when off trail in 2-3 feet of fresh for backcountry ski access. I was riding 2 up canadian style but noticed that my hyfaxes are nearly worn out with the thinnest section located near the front of the sled. I am very careful to keep fresh snow on the slide runners and when on trail will dip into the fresh snow 2 or 3 times per mile. Is this wear from riding 2up? Any suggestions - (am new to sleds). I've since resorted to a tow rope.

I did read this - thanks. I'm making the assumption that the additional weight contributed to the quick destruction of my hyfaxes. I guess my question was more on riding 2 up. Are there any suspension settings that might help? Is towing better than riding 2 up? Sorry for the dumb questions, just trying to do this right without learning the hard way first.

My next step is to tell my sledless pals to get your own or stay at home.
