I just called Hygear with some questions on the dual rate spring. They are running into some problems on the electronic ohlins. The stock aluminum spring collars keep breaking and they're working on a fix. They want the shocks sent in instead of sending you the spring because a revalve is mandatory. They are also working on making the electronic adjuster more adjustable so there is a noticeable difference between full soft and hard settings. He also said his website sucks right now and to watch it for updates in the next couple days with pricing for all of this.

ohlins

thanks for the info. did they say how much testing they have done on the apex with this spring. i,ve got an apex gt. it would be great to have a wider range of settings if they can get it to work.

It sounded like they've tested the spring with the revalve with great results, they just need to make the spring collars more durable. I'm guessing there will be more info on their website by the end of the week.

shock

thanks for the reply hygear has a good reputation. i,ll check out their website in a couple days.

yes I agree hygear is one of the best shock shops around. I know Ross down there very well. he had setup my F7 perfect for ditch banging....

New prices are up. $200 for the ohlins spring, plus $45 for the revalve. The standard non-ohlins monoshock spring is $250 due to machining needed to make the spring fit. Nothing on the adjustability thing yet??????
