Hygear vs. Pioneer vs. Carvin

You'd have to call Carver and ask what it would cost. They've got a sheet you fill out with all your details and they also want you to describe what the sled is currently doing and what you want your shocks to do. I'm not aware of them offering a package like the other vendors.

I've just been pleased with the revalve jobs they've done for me. I can physically feel the difference and the sled always rides better. Last season I had all four shocks rebuilt and revalved and was amazed at the difference the clickers now make when fine tuning.

I will say that one of the other two vendors mentioned did the shocks for a Yamaha Iron Dog team and the set up simply didn't work in the cold, Alaska conditions. That said, the set up may have been just fine for the lower 48.

Did Carver end up changing your front springs to a Dual or Triple rate springs along with re-valve?

i just got my shocks back from hygear. it seemed to me thet ross really did his homework on the nytro. if you go to thier website, they did a really informative sheet about the cons of the stock setup and then tells you what he did to fix it. he's definitely more money than the others but the packages he offers are pretty thourogh. if you want your sled to be adjustable, like hi and low speed dampening, and adjustability on the fox floats then at least give him a call and see what he has to say. when the snow flies ill post on here to let people know what i think because it seems like this is a pretty popular subject to talk about. as much as i've read on here , i've never read about anyone having any seat time with the trail pro setup from hygear. it may be a lot of money, but if it does what he says it will be worth it.

Hygear

I've actually only dealt with Hygear. I drove down there and at the time I had a polaris 600 fusion. His shop is impecable and he really seems knowlegable about his craft. I was too cheap to get one of the more expesive makeovers but form the work he did it was a noticable difference. Now with my xtx I think I will ride it first and then take it to Ross. These guys are top notch. You wont go wrong!

Mike carver is 75 bucks per shock,on all apex sleds that includes ohlins shocks, and that is revalved, gased and new oil, worn out parts of course is extra, and anyone of these dealers will charge for extra parts on a valve job.
