I-500 at the Soo

sleds that i know of is #85 Kris Eichenberg on a FX Nytro, #92 600 SRX from AK,#? Ross Erdman with a Vector, #14 Gentz Racing on a Apex with a FX Nytro motor or maybe a Vector

Thanks for the reply, PB. After reading the race rules on the I-500 website, it seems that much of the allowed mods are for safety and ultimately up to the discretion of the race director. Will Yamaha teams be allowed to run the race kit, part # xxxxxxx? or don't we know yet? :flag:

Yes they can, wate till u see the frontend that we have for ours, and it's not the race kit, it's built by my brother Roy. I can't post pictures till Tuesday. It does work ,he had it on a trail sled ridding to test it. You can do about anything to the sled, it just cant be a yama-doo, pol-cat, ect.. They are saying there is a 4 stroke 1200 ski-doo running this year and maybe a 1100 cat. It's about time, let the other racers bitch about them now lol

Pure Blue; It's been several years since I have been at the race at the Soo. Froze my a@@ off standing on the hill outside turn #1!! LOL Too far to walk to the beer tent :tg: RR

Just wating for Tuesday

I watched pole night qualifying last night on the live streaming. Looks to me like it'll be a " torque" track on race day. Fairly mild temps and lots of loose ice to power thru? Need good clutching and broad power band. Not many sleds that posted an early time improved their running on a later try. Just my impression from a long way away! ;)! Edit; After all these years, why can't they spell "Eichenberg"?LOL

lol...I know, after 24 years of racing there, they still can't spell it or say it right, Eichenberg ( Ikenberg ). It'll be fun on saturday, we got a big wind sheld and a lot of wheels.

PB, Nice looking machine!! Makes me think back to my 1978 SRX, color-wise. Does the #11 Wuppet Polaris really have reverse? Announcer said he backed out on the track?
