I have the suspension in my girlfriends indy 500 ... I got the front two bolts in but the back two are a good two inches infront of the mounting holes and i cant figure out how to get it to line up..
I have the two rear outer boggy wheels off and track as loose as it can go.. although the track seems very tight..
IS THERE SOME TRICK TO IT??????????????? HELP!!!

I had the front mounting bolts come out of my M-10 before. I put a ratchet strap around the front and rear mounting shafts to bring them closer together. Try that.

I need to get them apart.. Not together... although if i had that problem that would have been a great idea..

I can read ...really.
Maybe by collapsing the suspension things will line up. Take the preload blocks off the torsion springs or remove the shock. I haven't screwed around w/ the xtra 10 in a few years so these are just guesses. Good luck.

Brian, as pipedxc mentions, take the preload off the rear springs. To do this, just take the bolts out that hold the plastic blocks the springs go into. You should then be able to move that shaft where ever you want to. Be careful taking those blocks off, that spring is very strong, lay your back on the ground and press upwards on the spring by the block, loosen block and let the spring move downward towards the ground. Just be carefull as you could get hurt if you dont have good force and grip on the spring...Take a look at the pic attached. Call me if you dont understand...BBY

On a polaris the spring dosnt go in a block like the cat,it just sits in the groove.Welt just unload the springs and you can move the shaft to line up the mounting holes.
Lift the long end of the spring out of the groove and pull it out to the side of the track and rotate to the front. Then line up your rear mounting holes.

When i installed the M-10 in my RX-1 i had to move the rear mounts foward for this to work and i allso know this to be true for many other sleds, You may want to check on this for your sled, Call fast and ask them.

fastblue: I think he's trying to put it back onto the sled it came off of.
