I just got a new set this year and I was just wondering what seems to be the starting point/benchmark on rebound and damping stettings most riders set them at...I guess it has a lot to do on your riding style, I ride GROOMED trails SEMI aggressive and weigh 220 and also have a 13mm sway bar.

I pretty much set mine up according to the owners manual on the front shocks as far as rebound and compression. Seems good with these settings. I weigh about the same as you.

Thats the problem I have I don't have settings in my OWNERS manual my sled came with your basic KYB shocks and upgraded mine this year with no idea where to start off...

I am 220, and ride somewhat the same....
I drop my springs, move the adjusting collar 1 inch from the top of the threads.
this drops the sled about two inches from stock.
My limiter strap is sucked all the way up.
this drops the center of gravity and really helps the handling.
I set my compression 4 turns out from "stiff"
the rebound is a bit more touchy.
More rebound will take transfer away, keeping the nose down when throttle is applied, less rebound lets the nose come up which helps transfer, but kills ski pressure.
Don't be afraid of adjusting at every stop sign, the results are worth it.
Also, don't let your buddies give ya crap either.....they're just jealous cuz they cant adjust theirs!!!
Hope this helped
