So, from the way it sounds....the snow is melting on the pipes and running back along the tunnel and freezing again. I'm guessing that none of you guys have that rear cooler installed......
The reason I say this....I do have the rear cooler installed on my Rage, and the way it warms up the tunnel in the back.....I havn't seen any crazy ice build up at all. Now, comparing my sled to my buddies 05' Warrior, I see what you guys are talking about. When we get done riding, he has a 2-3 inch thick sheet on the whole skid underneeth......and mine is all melted clean for the most part.
What temperatures are you riding in?
I don't seem to have much build up until at least below -25°C. The only time I had enough build up to be a problem it was -38°C in the mornings and the high for the days were around -30°C.
On warmer days it seems the exhaust produces enough heat to pretty much melt the snow before it becomes an issue.
I should admit 90% of my riding has been either below -25°C or above -10°C - so a pretty big swing in temperatures (not much in between - so I'm not sure the exact transition temperature).
