I am contemplating buying the Ice Ripper XT for my Apex. I have heard a tale that they apparently don't last as long as a regular Ripsaw non studded or is this BS? I want to buy a track that will last me another 6000 miles and I would really hate not having studs anymore. I realized these will not be what normal studs are for traction but will help significantly more when on ice. I was just wondering if anyone has had this track on for more than a season and what their thoughts are of the track. I have read up on some info in the FAQ section and some searches but can't make up an honest decision. Thanks in advance.

I had 4500 miles on my track, when I took it out to put in a longer track. it was one of the nice tracks that I have used. It dose what a studed track dose and it acts like a nonstuded track at the same time.
I really like my Ice Attack. (1" version) After 2500 miles on it last season, I'm sold. No problems with it yet. You won't be dissapointed.

Read in this post how mine is on its second sled on the third season. It's on a turbo XR1200 Ski-Doo now. I love it for trail use. No worries of punctured heat exchangers or ripped and blown tracks. Just don't be stupid by spinning over stuff like plowed fields, roads, ect.
