Good afternoon and Happy New Year!
I would like to install the cable style ice scratchers on my 06 RTX . Has anyone installed them, and if so, do you have a pic of where you mounted them and how do they perform?
Thank you.

So this photo is off of my XTX, but honestly, following the directions they come with works well. Pick a hole, or drill a hole. There should be an open one in the rails.
Front half of the skid is recommended, but the goal is to kick up snow to hit the rear heat exchanger (if you have one installed) Or get carried to the front exchanger by the track rotating.
I'm looking to add a couple coated hooks to hang my scratchers on. As this past weekend, my rails got ice on them, and the scratcher kept dropping. After 160+ miles, I had over 25lbs of ice loaded up in my tunnel. Scratchers work!
Good luck!

Doug, Happy New Year to you, and to everyone else on this forum! In the upper right hand portion of this page, you will find a search.... option, type in Ice Scratchers and you should get a few pages of posts with quite some info. Biff's XTX skid looks similar to a Nytro XTX skid which I am familiar with. Those skids seem to have more options to mount cable scratchers to, than our 06,07 Apex. Also, as Biff said, they do work very well, and there are those days that they throw SO much snow that your skid is packed with it. Which might want you to consider the other option which is to mount them on your skis.Good afternoon and Happy New Year!

RS vector LTX, They work great throw a ton of snow inside the suspension. Wife and I rode a relatively bare lake last weekend and they worked very well. A word of caution they do throw rocks and your friends may not enjoy that particular feature. You just have to make sure they are up if you are running in a snavelly area

Thank you all for your advice, and for the heads up on the search tool. I will be adding scratchers this year.
Safe and happy sledding.
