Add some wheels to your skid. If the viper is like my procross it only came with four wheels in the skid. I bought cat mounts and wheels. It helped hyfax life and top end.

I just added one set of wheels to mine today as my sleds had a bad wear spot in them. There is a good 12" on the skid where there is no wheels about 2/3 of the way back on the rails and that's where mine was wearing bad. Seems as tho it's causing a lot of drag. Waiting now for the DuPont slides to come in and hopefully that improves top speed a lot. Good to hear from the procross guys on these issues!

Defiantly interested in this.

Here is where I put mine. This is the farthest back I can go and they must be put on the inside so everything clears. Hoping this does the trick. If not I will buy another set and there is a spot to put them on the outside of the rails almost at the back. It will still clear the 4th wheel kit. Apparently cat knew this was going to be an issue because they have holes in the rails that the mounts fit specifically for.

I will will put them on for some extra rolling resistance but I have 1200 km on my sled and I have no wear on my sliders.
