Just went out for my annual mid summer start-up to keep the fluids moving. Flipped the key to on and nothing.... A couple flips more and I got it to start but it would only run for 10 seconds or so before completely cutting out again. I did this multiple times all with the same result. The problem seems to be coming directly from the ignition switch- if i wiggle the key around enough the sled finds juice again. Anyone else have this problem? If I buy a new switch will I need a new key? I'm pretty sure its not the starter relay as I replaced that 2 years ago and the battery is fully charged. Definitely an issue with the key/ignition switch but I cant find any other posts with the same problem

check to make sure connector is tight under the dash. new key switch will require new key and should come with one.

i have had a similar problem back on my 05 rx war but at -20c on the side of the trail with a kill switch issue on the top of it. once kill switch was fixed, then found the issue after i replaced the ignition with a new one. in my case, a peice of plastic broke off inside the switch and was blocking the start position when brother took the old switch apart.
