Well it looks like it just got alot more difficult to run accross the border to purchase a sled or any other vehicle from our friends from the south.

Damn! Last sled I bought in NY last year, I didn't even do the 72 hour documents thing. Just ran the border and CBSA didn't say anything neither except for the usual "bend over". I was thinking of getting a truck in the US that's hard to find here but this might just kill that idea. Damn government!

Does anybody think that's it's something the US Govt is doing to try and curb the export of vehicles without going against the free trade agreement?

Free trade is still there, just the red tape that may make or difficult to honour. We're not stopped from bringing vehicles, just harder.

Free trade is/was a myth but at 75 cents on the dollar, trade with the US from the Canadian side is not profitable. 10,000 dollar sled becomes 12,500 20,000 dollar car becomes 25,000. I don't buy anything stateside anymore, ebay has not been looked at in a long time.
