I'm thinking it's gonna be around 500'.
24/50 is your best choice then.

I do agree with the statement that the gearing and clutching could help or hurt one depending on the rider. Most of the time while trail riding I'm in the 50-65 mph area I'd say. I can't remember rpm in that mph but I think it's around 6500-7000.

Timberline?Nice! Im taking mine to a hill climb race at a ski-slope and I'm starting wonder if I should go back to the 24/50 ratio now that it's studded. Wish I had snow to test it.

We now have EVO tune stage 4 with sandale 3" hyperflow muffler, alpha tubes and CAI it is a LTX-LE 137 stm weights loaded to 81 grams, stm straight 38 helix and red torsion secondary spring, primary spring pink/black don't know where it came from,it was in kit from Ulmer racing, total kit 270 hp runs 9150-9400 rpms and gets a combo of 13.5 to15 mpg depending on snow conditions. This was todays milage, morning hard and fast, afternoon sloopy and slower, sled does have 22 top 41 bottom. Also todays milage on motor is 730 miles so far this year.

Nice! I'm thinking that a tune will help with mpg even though it is producing more HP. Obviously you have clutching changes to accommodate the extra power. But it would be cool to know does the better mpg come from the clutching changes or the change in tune ?

Wel,the tune would be worthless without good clutching to get that power to the track. Now that we have transfer problem solved, the power this tune makes, just lights up the track, and now we move out very quick. My tune requires 9100-9400 rpms, but even with stock clutching, you would be over reving badly bouncing off the rev limiter, but in this tune the rev limiter has been increased to 9700 so no more hitting the limit switch. The sandale 3" hyperflow muffler works awesome, and sound is very spot bike like, but not to loud,so when cruising around 4500-5000 rpms you are running 50 mph or higher, and 6500 you are now cruising around 70 if you get hungry and need to hurry to the restraint, than snap it to 8500-9000 you will get there before there grill is warm..lolNice!
