Increase your mpg

I should add that I am not nearly broken in yet with 450 miles. I did not like the laziness of the turbo at low speeds and this kit really helps that laziness and it pulls much harder up top too. have run to 115 without light coming on so far.

I guess me and my buddy are lucky...we both got 16.3 mpg on last checked tank. Ltx with 800 miles, and a btx with 300 miles. Lots of wot pulls, 100+mph. Mostly agressive trail riding, very little cruising. Burping tanks.

just like a stick shift car...depends where you mostly cruise at and whether the gearing is working for you or against you....gearing and clutching to where you cruise mostly makes for better mileage..

I'm very satisfied with the fuel mileage of my btx last ride we went on we all rode pretty hard and everybody fueled at the same time ...two 600 short tracks and a 800 long track ran out of fuel between 5-7 miles out of town and the rest were on fumes...well except for me and my brothers (sidewinder rtx and viper mtx) we still had around a 1/4 of a tank left. When I got home I siphoned the fuel out to put in my plow truck that had run out in my driveway and I got almost 3 gallons out of it! I will say quality of fuel plays a big role also..I bought "premium" at a very out of the way place once and was shocked at how fast the fuel gauge was moving ...the sled also lost a little bit of its zip.

^^ Isnt your gearing 24/50? if so that would confirm my above theory?

BTX Le is 24/50
BTX Se is 21/41
Both have 8 tooth drivers.

It was...but on this ride it was 21/41...which isn't a huge change in ratio...honestly don't think the gear change helped or hurt mileage much if any. I have my secondary set a 6-1 and a stiffer primary spring so my sled does rev a little higher than a stocker (9100) so that may be the reason also.

I have an le with a shaved track (1.75) I changed to 21/41 because it seemed to aggressive on take off and just blew the track out all the time and didn't seem to have as good of top end pull as my friends se. Now I shaved the track down to 1-3/8 and installed studs for drag racing so I might go back to the 24/50 now.

With 24/50 gearing your top speed will be around 108 mph.

With 21/41. Xtx guys are seeing 128-130 mph with overdrive.

This is with stage 3 or 4 EVP flash and clutching.

I am stock running the XYZ clutch kit(stage 1) and I saw 2 mpg increase after kit. IT is much cripser in the trails as well. Started by seeing 11 mpg per tank on same trails was 13 and 13.5 after. With less throttle needed to run at speed( I beleive the weights and spring are key to this) you are running less RPMs at higher speeds and slightly higher RPMs at lower speeds that keeps the turbo spooled. This is much better by making more power at lower throttle positions and not over luggin the motor off bottom. Just my observations so far.
What is the XYZ clutch kit and who sells them.

Yeah stock 24/50 gearing the best I saw was 106mph but that was crossing a long field in loose snow also. haven't really tried to see what it will top out at now...gear calculator says 6-7 mph more with 21/41 though.

I'm starting to set mine up for asphalt. Going with 26/48 for 1/8 mile and 27/43 1/4 mile. 10 tooth 2.52 drivers.

Nice! Im taking mine to a hill climb race at a ski-slope and I'm starting wonder if I should go back to the 24/50 ratio now that it's studded. Wish I had snow to test it.

I ran an 800' radar run with stock 2 1/4 track groomed snow 37 degrees outside. 99.7 mph. Fastest sled there.
EVP stage 3, Thunder products clutching. Only 3 sleds broke 90 mph. 2 sidewinders and an apex. 850 doos wire 88-89 mph. So if it's around 800' in length I would run 24/50.
