Installing a Cobra track

I was talking with a friend at work today about this track. Being there are NO markings on this track......you don't suppose the Chinese are copying these too?

They'd be a lot cheaper if they were coming from there....

Have you tried calling TracksUSA? They may be able to shed some light on this, or maybe even a pic? As hard as that stupid thing is to find, somebody has to have asked in the past....

I thought it was just me being a dumba$$ at first. Since, many others have struggled enough with this to write in about it...

Kinger, this is the first I've heard you had trouble too. Now I really don't feel like such a dumba$$!! Or should I just assume there's more than one dumba$$???

I sold kinger his Cobra track, I put one of the backer plates over the arrow so I know there is an arrow. I put 144 studs in the center and that's where the arrow is.

As I mentioned the former Cobra I had had writing and an arrow on it. This one doesn't. I called Ken Sports in Wisconsin. These guys are a legit Polaris/Arctic Cat dealer......so the China thought was bogus on my part. They could not explain why there is no writing on it and they looked at their stock and said......."your right, there is nothing on them but we don't know why". They had another used sled on the floor which happened to have a Cobra on it and that track was marked. Go figure.

Have them take a picture of the arrow. You can then use the lug pattern and arrow in that pic to guarantee you have your track on pointing the right way.

In the snowmobile.com review article of the Cobra track you can make out the arrow and which direction it points relative to the lugs. You can also find a real clear picture of the arrow on the track on an eBay listing for a new Cobra track.

The pattern has a wider scoop paddle in the outer edge of the track and the arrow points away from the concave of the wider scoop.
