I have an 07 Attak that I am considering extending to 144". I live in northern Saskatchewan Canada and we get 2 to 3 feet of snow. How big of track can I go to with removing the tunnel protectors and not changing the drivers? What track do you recommend for more off trail riding? What brand of extensions do you recommend? Also does anyone have a total cost in USD or CAD for the track and extensions? Thanks guys

1.5".
You can go to 2" withOUT changing drivers IF you remove all the tunnel protectors. Personally, I can't see ANY track under 2" that looks at all durable. I would go with a challenger 16x144x2 and if you need it shorter, trim it.
Unless you're going to put spikes in the track, you should DEFINITELY remove the tunnel protectors. They hold up ALL of the ice that gets stuck in the tunnel. Remove them and you'll have a nice clean tunnel with no ice buildup.

I'm finishing (or trying to I should say) my 144x2 extension on my '07 Attak. It's interesting that I saw black track skid marks on my tunnel extensions when I took out the stock track, and it seems strange that there is no protection between the exhaust pipes and the track, but I guess that works.
Re-installing the skid is killing me though - I can't get it back in....

I'm in saskatoon. I went with the 144x2x16 challenger. So far it is working great. Hit me up with a pm if you are interested in any tips on the install.
Take the tunnel protectors out. It is not that big of a job and if you know you are never going to run studs it's fine.

I live in Toronto. 144 is fine, but the way this winter is going, a moped would be more practical.420ATTAK said:i think that woud be pretty cool ive considered it but i was worried aout turning i live in southern ontario and the trails are kinda tight and turney, now i usually go up to timmins for some trips (about a 7 hour drive from toronto) 9 hours total and i loved watching the "moutain" sleds around there. im going to keep watching this post
