01/12/07: 4 to 6 inches of snow this morning and still snowing not sure how much we will get as we received more than they were predicting all ready. Forecast is calling for cold temps and light snow for this weekend and into next week, sure hope it keeps on snowing. Finally got some sleds at the motel so I will be able to find out how the trails are I'm sure this snow will help the trails. Groomers are out where they can and doing the best they can with the snow we have. Sam

How are the trails in the area south of you. We are heading up to Mercer and looking to ride north. If we have to we can drop off in the Hurley/Ironwood area and ride from there. Thanks for any input.

Just got back. We were able to ride from Mercer north. We have a cabin over by the Turtle Flowage. The flowage was in need of snow but the ice was good. Trail marked from Deadhorse to Donner's Bay. We took 9 and headed up to Joanny's Bar. Trails got better as we headed north. Came back south along 8 and some of the grade (trail 17). Nothing too bad but as everyone knows they could use some snow. I think they got some on Monday. Trail base was in very good shape and with a little snow they should be good.
