Last year I had my dealer synchronize the injectors on my Apex after the first 500 miles. He fooled with it for quite a while with a new gage system and got it pretty close. He did mentions that he would like to purchase an exhaust gas analyzer that would allow him to dial things in a bit better. Can anybody tell me, or point me to some previous posts on any adjustments to fuel pressure or the like? We did mine by turning the 4 small air screws. Thinking there might be some room to improve mileage, it semms pretty rich. But it does run just fine.

You can tune the computers fuel , by using your guage cluster..

SOmeone else will have to post how to do it,,, as you will need an exhaust annilizer in order to know the fuel/air ratios

You can adjust the idle/low speed settings in the computer, but the whole map is not adjustable. You will need a programmer to adjust the whole fuel range. Powercommander, Boondocker, etc.

Thanks for the info, maybe just a little more help. When we did my synchronization the dealer was abe to get them all close. But he couldn't get them all with the allowable range, a vacuumn number I assume. It was measured in CM I beleive. He put in a call to Yamaha and they told him they were revising the accptable range and that all was fine. What is this reallly measuring, and what affect does it have. I'd just like to understand better what we were measuring. Is there any additional benefit to adjusting the idle mixture through the computer, it does smell rich but seems to run fine.
