Is the new viper worth it ?

No matter what anybody thinks about cat or yamaha or the yamacat I don't care. I love the looks love the motor and will love the chassis. And hopefully will love the turbo! So I'm happy with my choice of sled...plus I don't like ski doo. Don't really like the looks of the rush from the back and I want a four stroke. Can't wait to race that first 800 e tec!!

Lol...right on thanks. Probably drives a ski doo.

Too early to tell i have .01 miles on my Viper! I have never had a problem with my Apex, Nytro, or phazer. I drive them hard but also take care of them as well.

I had almost 7000 miles on my 2011 nytro XTX and never had a single problem. My wife's vector has 5000 miles on it and samething no problems still on the same belt. I think the Viper will be the same way. Drive them hard but take care of them at the same time.

Thanks for the info guys I ride Yamaha all the way havnt ride anything else I'm hooked on how reliable Yamaha is I beat the crap outta my 04 viper and can't brake it if I tryed I just want the same with the new viper I hate how it's made in a cat plant . I'm still waiting on the call from the dealer with my rte se but still no snow anyways.... Also a lot of you Yamaha guys seem to know what's your talking about ... Also do you think Yamaha engineers read this for forum and are trying to work out small bugs people write about before the rest of the sleds lave the factory ? Iv been saving every penny for this sled I'll be tapped out once I get it only extra money I'll have is for a set if c&a razors

Relax viper2004 I believe that you will just fine in the stock trim on this sled. If you have been riding a 2 smoke viper for 10 yrs you are ready for the 4 stroke intoxication.

They do not require you to spend anything on them - from the skis to the tracks to the shock package this sled handling wise is leaps above the rx and apex. You will want to ride all day. Its just us idiots with nothing better to do than add crap that feel we need turbos, Skis, shocks.......... and graphics and other upgrades make it personal but don't make it any faster.

Ride it and enjoy it.

Man I hope that turbo makes it alittle faster , :jump:
Also it's a sickness or something wrong with our heads , my mom said she didn't drop me on my head but sometimes I think she has , I do know the wife hits my upside my head sometime :jump:

Funny my wife does the same thing...why do you need this and why do you need that... I don't really have a good answer except I want it. So I guess it is just a hobby and we all want to make it different in some way. But I get yelled at all the time!

I'm fairly new to the chat stuff but by no mean new to snowmobiling. And like I said before there are issues with all sleds and all makes. Whether we here about them or not. I think all make are good. Some have better things here and some have better there. It's what the person feels the best on. I read the post that some of those guys wrote and if they want to come on a yamaha chat room and say stupid stuff to see how long it takes to get kicked out, well that's just plain stupid. And they must be worried about something because if they are suppose to be so good than why should they worry about what anyone else is doing! Now ski doo does make a good sled, but it's the riders that make me hate ski doo. They always think there stuff is the best fastest and handles the best. Well as far as I'm concerned it's all in the rider. I have raced many ski doo's through the trails with my heavy non handeling Nytro and have whipped on everyone I have raced. And I'm not lying. Whether you believe me or not I don't really care. I know what I can do. Whether it's a 800 e tec or what ever I have never had a problem in the trails against them. So what if they can lift the skis 6 inches off the ground at 90 mph. That's a suspension set up has nothing to do with hp. And if ski doo riders think that ski doo does not have any issues than they are crazy!!!
