Looks like the same old link?
Finally got sled back from dealer last Friday. When I dropped it off he said it would be 2 days, well it was over a week. Go to pick sled up and he tries to charge me for the repairs. He forgot I called yamaha and they were going to pay. Even though he's the one who told me to call yamaha, then I told him twice on the phone, and when I dropped it off that yamaha authorized the repairs. Still end up paying over $130 for new sliders and for them to recharge the shock. Kinda steep I thought. Well I didn't get a billet link or front arm updates either. All I got was another steel link that looked exactly like the old one that broke. But he assured me it was an updated part number. Should I have gotten the billet version? I told him that's what everyone online was getting. He just said don't believe everything you hear on the internet. We'll I think the people hear know more about these sleds that any dealer will ever know. Thank you to everyone who post all the valuable information on this site. My theory on the link breakage is that the rear shock blows out and then it causes too much stress on the link. That's why the GT's and such with the regular non-rebuildable shocks aren't breaking yet. They don't loose their charge as fast as the clickers. I bet next year those models will start breaking links. Hope not though since I picked up a GT skid to have as a spare so I don't lose out on any riding time again.
