View attachment 152809 Was out for a ride yesterday when the Viper blew the ISC fuse. Took me most of the day but pretty positive I found the issue (see picture).
Inside the fuel tank the red and black wire to the fuel pump had melted a small area which would touch on just the right bump. Thinking about it now I guess I’m lucky it never sparked enough to ignite the gas vapour in the tank .. I’ve owned this Sled from new and have done all the maintenance myself, there’s no indication this pump was ever removed before.
Has anyone seen this before? Or have any idea what might have caused it?
I can only guess the fuel pump got over heated but the sled is stock and I don’t often run less than a 1/3rd of a tank of fuel.
