When did the backfire occur?Ck your throttle cable adjustment, I had a back fire every now and then. The flipper was a bit out of spec(lose/too much play).
Adjusted and all good now.
The one question i have.... Is the set up so far out of whack that boost cut gets hit at 7700 RPM? Now that is taking it for what it's worth with the last seen RPM. Again all the guess work is eliminated with DATA logging.

Check your fuel pressure when it acts up. If the fuel pressure drops, Replace the pick up sock on the fuel pump. Had this problem also.
Like SSB has stated and we all preach. Just pony up for DATA logging and it just makes things so much easier! You're not left spitballing and guessing.

On light throttle applications from thumb off to just barely adding throttle. Didn't happen often. Hurricane eco tune. I've adjusted it twice in 6000mi.When did the backfire occur?
