It's a Sad day! I sold my RX-1 Mountain

Guys, it is with much sadness that after a 8 years (Late Summer 2002-2010) adventure with my RX-1, I finally had to let the old girl go.

I was very torn about selling it my RX-1 but, I needed a beginners mountain sled and a TTR-125 for my 80 lb daughter and the sale of the RX-1 is what allowed me to do that.

I will miss hanging out on this forum as much as I once did and I have had a great time dealing with all of you and I'd still be happy to answer any questions I can regarding RX-1 issues.

I do have a few RX-1 items left that I need to get rid of:

I have a cut exhaust Y pipe ready for a single pipe to be welded onto it.

I have several sets of clutch weights all loaded up for a RX-1 mountain application. They are 8DN-00, 8DN-10, 8BU-10 and I also have two set of the 8FA-00 RX-1 stock weights.

I have a gold colored Dalton 54/42 helix that's in great shape.

Carbon print headlight cover

Blue traction brackets for the footwells

Apex mountain handle bars with hot grips and instructions for RX-1 application

Stock 16.5mm clutch rollers

Three sets of Holtzman carb springs - Yellow, Red and Silver.

One set of blue Handleballs - go into the end of handlebars to keep your hands from slipping off ends of handlebars.

Four chaincase gears - 18,19,22 and 40 tooth

2 RX-1 ski spindles (right and left) both slightly bent (can be easily straightened) with all bushings.

You have been a great ty-member and you still are. Sad you never boosted your sled. That sled had all mods done and was ready for boost.

You will be back to the dark side It is in your Norwegian viking blood - lol

I don't doubt it one bit! I love my Yamahas. I still have a Phazer Mountain Lite, 3 Ovations, a Bravo, a Mountain Max, a TTR-125, a Wolverine 450 and a TTR-225.

However, I boondock almost exclusively now and a lighter sled just doesn't beat me up as bad after a day of riding. I just wish Yamaha would build a lighter mountain sled a guy didn't need to boost or spend thousands on lightweight parts to be competitive.

Frosty its all good! Nytro w/180 boost kept me on team blue........but I know how you feel! I am surrounded by Cats when carvin' up them powder hills now!
