Not sure where the "right place" to post this is. Considering how bad out winter has been I would guess anywhere is a snowmobile forum is good.
IT"S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not water, not frozen balls, actual snow, the kind that has enough moisture to pack even!!!! 3 inches since about 4 this afternoon, up to another 5 possible, and another 8 inches in the forecast for Thursday. Tally Hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got some too, I think we should have more to celebrate though. The northern portions of Minnesota has had snow all winter. We have had mostly rain, ice an occasional snow but with a quick melt every time. This winter has been a total bummer around the Minneapolis area. I leave to the UP this Sunday for a week and I expect it to snow at home like it always does while I am gone and then melt immediately when I get home. That is how it always works.......mother nature hates me because I call her really bad names for all the countless times she hoses us.

I am heading to Gaylord Michigan tomorrow until Sunday. The snow conditions have been good until they got rain Monday. The trails took a big hit but a nice 5" of new snow last night helped.
The downer is freezing rain tomorrow so we will see how it turns out......what a weird winter so far

I will be just getting home on the 15th but not likely. If there is snow around here yet I ride out from where I store it in Farmington. We generally ride east towards Cannon Falls and Red Wing. I don't own a trailer anymore either. My buddy has an enclosed 4 place he pulls with a Dodge diesel 4 door.

It was raining at my house this morning out in Buffalo. The temp when I left was 16. How the hell can it be raining and be 16 degrees? I'm about ready to piss on this winter. Getting real sick of these crap winters we have been getting. I hardly get excited when I see snow in the forecast anymore because by the time it actually gets here its usually not much or nothing.

Snow? What is that? This is an image from a webcam up in Copenhagen, NY which typically is the snowiest place in NY and sometimes the US. Our winter here is UGLY for the 3rd year in a row. Snow, rain, melt, snow, rain, melt, repeat. We hit a record high of 61°F on Monday. Temperatures were 2°F on the morning of Feb 1st and not been below 32°F since this past Saturday. Today, we received quite a bit of freezing rain where several schools were closed and many were delayed for 2 hours to let roads melt. No snow in the forecast until Tuesday evening. Given the accuracy of weather forecasting, I will believe it when I see it.

Yep was coming home from the late shift at 2 am and it was a real light freezing drizzle that was freezing on my windshield. We have good snow now! Figures being I am leaving on my trip Sunday. Does this every time.

Well the snow gods were actually on my side this time. I got home from work yesterday and had a nice 8-10" in my yard. I actually had to break out the wheeler with the plow. We now have about a foot of snow on the ground. The wife and I actually might go for a short ride this weekend around home.

It's coming....it's headed right for us!!! Joe Bastardi has been spot on months ahead, and he says it's back with a vengeance through March, starting around the 15th of feb. So this morning, local news says snow....starting the 14th!! But tug has not had the conditions for massive widespread lake effect, that can withstand a few thaws....We had the best riding in years, South of route 20...just awesome...for maybe 5 days. Gone now, but me and some other retired guys got in some nice rides.Snow? What is that? From last week, through Sunday, a line from Carlisle to about Richfield springs, and north...my kids rode over the mohawk and thruway from here to near speculator saturday.
And yes, that is a sheriff in the center on one pic...lol...at a trail inspection. We passed. But a mile earlier wouldn't have been pretty. This particular group of buds likes to dust each other riding, lol!

LOL! His buddy, standing next to him ,just sold him his vmax 600...doesn't have a suit, and it was cold last week, but he loved it! Used to ride years ago. I actually switched with him before we ran into the sheriff, so he was driving the sw responsibly, while I was beating on the old vmax....brings back memories! But why don't guys want to give me back the sidewinder???Thumbs up to the gent on the left snowmobiling in jeans and tennis shoes. Any relation to Johnny Skeptical?

We are supposed to get 4" - 7" locally tonight into tomorrow with 40+ mph winds and 55+mph gusts. With the warm wet ground, I don't expect much to stick around.
I really hope it does since I have zero miles so far this year. With 3 kids in activities every single weekend, its getting harder and harder to trailer somewhere and get out to ride. Considering selling the sleds and buying new after they are grown and in college.

We finally have around a foot of snow in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. It does figure I am heading to the UP this Sunday. Just hoping we can hold this so I can finally get some rides in around here when we I get back.
All TY’rs on my trip, Snoseeker, YamahaTim and Knappattack and myself. Should be a good time! Staying 2 blocks from Pat’s Motorsports again.
Looks like I need to take a new photo of my SW while I am up there for my avatar image.
