They will not go bad if you grease them about every 2000 miles. That goes for the drive shaft bearing too.
Just pry the seal off using a small jewel screw driver, clean the bearing out(if it needs it) and regrease them.
I have been doing this for meny years ands have never suffered a failure.
Thats with putting on 5000 to 8000 miles as I trade every other year.

To get the nuts and bolts off I used a broom handle through the windows of the track. It locked the track in position. That big nut was loose on my sled. I know that is wrong and I will make sure it is tight when I put it back together.

I put 4450 miles on my '04 RX-1 before changing. It probably could have gone another 2-3K it was still lubed pretty good, and rolled with a slight resistance due to the greese. But it did have a tiny little catch in it, better safe than sorry.

Help with Jackshaft, brake side collar in front of housing
The collar just in front of the chaincase housing (the one with the torx nut in it), how can I get this off. This collar is behind the brake rotor. The torx screwdriver will not fit because the outer chaincase housing is in the way. I tried an allen wrench but metric and regular didn't fit. I'm new at this type of job so please help out. Thanks.

Mustang1,
Just remove the brake rotor. You'll need a pair of internal circlip pliers to remove the circlip. Take note of washers behind the circlip so you put them back in the correct order. Once you get the rotor off, you should have better access at that torx screw.
