Well that does not sound good. There are circlips that hold each bearing in place both in the chaincase and in behind the secondary clutch. There is also one that goes on after you slide the brake rotor on is that the one? Should slide into the groove on the end of the jackshaft to keep the rotor in place.

I looked up that part # and it is the circlip that goes in the bearing behind the secondary clutch. Item #15 on the attached diagram. 99009-30400-00 CIRCLIP

Yep, dats da one. Been staring at that picture for the last 24 hours. Can't figure out how it relates to the machine/can't find a spot for it. I got the one on the brake and the ones on the bearings. Just can't seem to find the spot for this one? Other than that I think I have the rest figured out. I've had a couple of friends with more experience pull apart the chaincase for one reason or another. Now that I made myself figure it out the reverse seems to work better than ever. Found a loose piece of linkage that made it feel slopy. Thank you very much for the input, I know I'm being a pain.

I think I finally figured it out with the help of my little brother, and I'm screwed. I think I have to go back to square one. I believe the clip and washer pictured in the blowup of the secondary sheave (number 15 and 16) actually go on the chaincase side, behind the bearing. I had tunnel vision looking at the exploded view, thinking if I was looking at the clutch side the parts must go on that side. Now I believe thats not the case, they go on the chaincase side. AKA...I have to start all over more or less!! Its going to end up taking me three days to do this, but if I had to do another one it would take three hours!!! I should stick to firefighting, but I like to know how the stuff I ride works. This one was from the school of hard knocks.
Someone tell me I'm wrong...PLEASE.

I have that one in. That one is much bigger. I think it refers to the one that has to be slid down the jackshaft to go on the back of the bearing on the opposite side. Of all the parts to miss, this was the worst one I think. RX-1 for sale.

Lucky me. Does anyone know if I can get it on from the chaincase side? Hoe does that bearing come out?
Might be nice to add a reminder on the tech instruction link.
