Jackshaft bearing grease/change

Any excess actually pushes out past the inner seal lip around the shaft.
As you know, If you get any grease here, you want to wipe it off.

Of course you don't want to go crazy with a grease gun & force the seal out!
A pump or 2 on your grease gun will do wonders. (Depending on your grease gun)

We haven't seen any issues with them & suggest adding a bit of new grease mid-season & at the end of season.
That way the grease stays fresh, doesn't risk solidifying, and helps get rid of grit & moisture acquired during use.

Rockmeister ;)!

Looks like a great product but I am not totally sold on it...yet.
When installing "The Greaser" you obviously remove the outer seal on the driveshaft bearing to allow grease to be pumped into the bearing by the greaser. It seems to me, pumping any amount of grease into the bearing, and not having a bleed hole of some sort, will displace air and old grease causing the inner bearing seal to blow out.
What am I missing here?
The Greaser is a great product every Yamaha should have . I have the prototype still on the machine and it’s still like new ,and so is the bearing .! I have over 1000mi so far on The Greaser . Like Rock said , 1-2 pumps usually 2 is all you need to get the crud out , it’s coming in so let’s push it back with grease right?! . I give it 2 shots after a good ride and spin the track Who wants to change bearings over and over ? Great product!

Sorry this is off topic .

While installing the "Greaser" on my Attak I was concerned about the inner seal on the driveshaft bearing being dislodged by pumping grease through the greaser from the outside of the bearing. This should never be an issue as the tunnel collar the driveshaft bearing seats in has a lip that prevents the bearing seal from being dislodged.
LOL now I can move on to something else to fret about.:)
