LOL, thanks Skydog. So basically we're back to square 1 - huh hahaha. Man I'm going in circles, I hope I can figure it out withing a few weeks :-)

Erik at MCXpress said stock carb setting for 10 lbs of boost. I thought 16 lbs would require different settings, but it don't, stock settings seems to apply still. If anything I am a little rich up top with the stock main jets. I was at 11.4 AFT WOT on a 1/4 mile pull last year. I ordered the 132.5 main jets so I have them at hand if I need to go down on the mains.

Yea carbs work great for boost!! More boost more fuel is added!!! Carbs rock for boosting!! :) :)

Warmed up the engine to operating temps. AFRs were 14.7 at idle 1500 rpms, perfect. Holding the rpms just below engagement at 4000 rpms AFRs were 14.2, acceptable. I'll leave it like this and will take her for a ride before making further adjustments.

I will do just that, run her hard on the lake hehehe LOL :-Boost)

how much boost are you running skydog and Rxrider?Up too the 20 psi mark yet?

Yea after this weekend i will. Right now about 15-17 psi!! WHAT A MONSTER!! I got my new clutch weights and a Alcohol Injection System going on this weekend! So i will CRANK IT UP!! My turbo is good to 28-30+psi!!! But not my motor! HA HA :) :) When all done i am looking to be right at 20 psi on race fuel, stock timming, stock compression and Alcohol Injection.

No not yet, currently running 16 lbs. I'm planning on upgrading my sled as well. As said before, boost is so addictive, I always want more. I have some ideas I'm working on, MCX400 that is LOL. This turbo is suitable between 250 hp and 350 hp, with a max of 390 HP. I don't know the boost level it is capable of, but I will talk to Erik at MCXpress soon and find out everything about it and what I need to do to run this turbo. I guess, I need a flange to convert between the MCX400 and the Y-pipe in the back. New jetting I guess and clutching, here we go again :-). I run 9.13:1 CR. With this turbo I hope to run less boost pressure and at the same time gain power, running the compressor in its sweet spot.

All this talk on upgrading turboes, running more boost, the talks have made me crave for more boost :die :-o

Yeah I will - it doesn't help much on my cravings when my friend running a MCX400 Apex asks me to join him going to MCXpress in Sweden to upgrade his sled to a MCX550. SHOCK - I said yes sure I will come with you. MCXpress is fairly close to us, 500 miles one way, we will have our sled with us in a large cargo wan.

Man that is cool wish i could go with you guys!! HA HA

Update on jetting, AFR. On the lake January 13.

Idle hot: 14.3-14.5
Takeoff rpms: 13.5
Driving slow: 13.5
Cruising 0 lbs of boost: 13.0
Cruising 5 lbs of boost: 13.0
Cruising 10 lbs of boost: 13.5-14.0
WOT 0 lbs: no data
WOT 5 lbs: no data
WOT 10 lbs: no data
WOT 16 lbs: 10.9

Temps on the lake today were -6C or 21F
Altitude: 100 meter or 300 ft

Jetting:
Main jets = 135
Pilot jets = 17.5
Pilot screws = 2.25 turns out
Needle = 2 position (lowered 1 from stock)
Stock carb springs
STM Billet Carb Caps

I get a little hesitation off idle, that I can live with. AFR is 13.5 at engagement, perfect. It does not die when letting off throttle from WOT 16 lbs to no throttle. It does not run pour when riding slow for a mile. ON and off throttle it responds just great and it doesn't miss a beat, I'm pretty happy with it.

- Down low is OK, won't touch it.
- Needles, I may raise them to stock. 13.5-14.0 AFR is kinda lean for 10 lbs, somewhere around 1/2 throttle. What do you guys think? Should I go with stock needle position running stock carb springs?
- WOT was 10.9. I don't think riding in -18C or 0F temps will get it up to 11.8-12.0. I have a set of 132.5 on order to cure the fat WOT.
