Jimmy Blaze Video

2007 SNEAK PEAK

PERSONALLY I HAVE NO USE FOR A SLOW CROSS TYPE OF SLED, I DID NOTICE IT STILL HAS THE MOST OUT DATED SKIS IN THE INDUSTRY.
MORE MOTOR PLEASE
LESS HYPE
THANK YOU

What I´ve heard it should be 4-stroke twin. And it should weight almost nothing compared to Vector / Apex. And there should be more new things too.

I gues we´ll see feb 13th.

Jimmy Blaze is a good actor.

Well, I just spoke to a friend who was talking to his friend who own's a Cat dealership. Sounds like the new Thundercat is on it's way in 2-3 weeks. It will have either the 1000 GSXR or the Busa engine. I have heard that rumour for 3 years now, but apparently the dealer will have one very soon.

I personally don't believe Cat will have anything more than an ugly crossbread 1050 twin...if that big....I am gonna bookmark this post, so I can say "told you so"!

I'm with you there! I resent that I am forced to ride way up in the wind in order to ride a 150 HP Yamaha anymore. I want a Quebec slot car, not a Minnesota Motocross bike with a track and skis.

More hype LESS CAPS!

Good god would it kill some of you to be at least a little excited? Who gives a rats #*$&@ if you personally don't want a ditchbanger. many of us do! Some of us want Yamaha to capture THAT segment just like they're doing with the Apex class.

And frankly, for many of us your saddlebagging wants and needs has no interest with us. Don't find us though jackin your threads with "saddlebags and touring setups are for old washed up men" comments like some of the stupid comments here.

QCRider have you ever had anything good to say about... well anything?

I am happy with my RTX, but I think it will be great for Yammi to have a ditchbanger. Maybe I will have a sno cross sled to cheer for. Blair Morgan races for Yamaha in the Canadian Moto X series. HMMM?

I'm excited Yamaha looks to be bringing a true ditchbanger. The teaser photo kinda looks like a adult sized sno scoot. No matter what, I'm sure it will be a blast to ride. A little Yamaha history, the 2 stroke ATV Blaster was named since it was such a Blast to ride. It wasn't at the top of the HP chart, but a riot to ride.

GO YAMAHA!

It will be interesting to see what Yamaha comes out with.
I agree that Yamaha needs to go after the sno-x wanna be/ditchbanger segment. Yamaha has the long distance trail rider segment pretty much nailed down, but they really dont have a sled that can keep pace with Firecats/REVs in the big bumps.
Yamaha has got their foot in the door of the rough trail segment with the Apex, Attak and Nytro, but if the rumors of a 'Busa or GSXR1000 powered Cat are true, they need to not just get their foot in the door, they need to kick the door in.

Although cat has really improved thier machines in the last 5 yrs they had better seriously step up the the plate with build quality, fit and finish and long term durability to compete with Yamaha for overall quality, theres more to a sled than being first in a race.

I love my Apex but if this sled is compact and light with razor sharp handling and a power package to boot {twin 800 turbo 4stroke}, I think I would lay down a depoist this spring. I hope its a good year because I really like my Apex and would want to hold on to it to. :exc: I better get back to the grind to pad my toy budget.

Most Cat riders could honestly care less about long-term durability as long as the sled is fast. Look at the F7. Even with all the problems Cat has had with it, most Cat riders think thats the best sled that has ever been made.
Cat has always been all about performance first, dependability/fuel economy/comfort second.

I think some of you naysayers ought to just hold your opinions until it's been released. I doubt Yamaha is too concerned about your opinions. They're looking for new customers and new niches. From the sounds of it, this sled isn't made to replace anything, just be something new entirely.
