Ulmer Racing has run XP2 in Apex & FX Nytro models starting in the fall of 2007. We have even run XP0 in racing applications with no oil burning. We contacted them with the engine tolerances Yamaha runs and they sent us both XP0 and XP2. The only down fall to the Joe Gibbs oil is that the "corrosion resistance" is not as high as Yamalube, so we recommend changing the oil in the spring time when your season is over. Joe Gibbs now has a new MX1 oil that I would like to try as well, but haven't yet.

How many miles on the sled? How was the sled broken in?

I have logged over 5,000 miles on my old Nytros using XP2 oil without adding a drop of oil between oil changes and would highly recommend the oil if you are trying to get every hp out of your sled.

Allen - I have received MX1 sample (4qt) from Lake Speed last spring and never ran it as I know it has not been tested yet on snowmobiles. I believe it maybe 5W-30 designed for motorcross racing. Let us know what you see on dyno with the oil and confirm it's weight. Hopefully, I can use it with my MCX turbo application once broken in.

i have only 10000 miles and the sled has been broken as yamaha recommends with intermittent short w.o.t..when i put xp2 oil i run br oil before at idle 2 times 15min.

i have found my problem yesterday, intake of air box was obstucted by 3 shop towel.it was obstructed a least 60 pourcent.i had forgotten on my last oil change when i change oil for xp2.in the same time i have checked my compression and it is around 205 psi with cold engine on four cylinder.with warm engine it will be higher.scuse me and tank you for every one who try to help me.

just one question form allan ulmer,do you run xp2 oil in your brp 1200.is it good for 1200.hp gain is around the same.it's a question for my buddy
